Donations
...............................................................................................................................................................The success of the Tri-County Family Justice Center depends heavily upon the support of the community to continue services to survivors of domestic violence during a critical time in their life. The funds must be raised through the community and through the generosity of individual donors, businesses, corporations, foundations, and community groups. Whatever way you choose to donate - cash, gently used goods, or volunteering your time - your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Cash Donations
For most donors, money - usually in check form - is the easiest way to give. Contributors who itemize their deductions can deduct these gifts on income tax returns for the year they were made. Up to 50 percent of adjusted gross income can be deducted that year, while any figure over that amount can be deducted over the next five years.

Pledges
Many contributors find it easier to make large gifts if the payments are made over the course of several months or years. A pledge permits the donor to determine a schedule for making payments.

Matching Gifts
Many corporations provide matching gifts in recognition of employees' charitable giving. Most of the matching gifts are equal to the donor's gift, but some corporations provide more than equal matching.

Memorial Donations
You can create a living memorial in the name of a family member or friend. Your tax-deductible donation will show the family of the deceased that you care about their loved one while helping the Tri-County Family Justice Center aid victims and their children of domestic violence. We'll send a personalized card with your message to the person you designate to notify of your donation (the amount of the gift will not be indicated unless otherwise requested).

In Honor of Donations
Donations made in honor of someone are an exceptional way to acknowledge your appreciation for a special family member or friend, and to make a difference in the lives of the women and children served by the Center. Honor those who have made a difference in your own life through a donation on Mother's or Father's Day, Grandparents' Day, birthdays, or many other special occasions. Once the donation is made, The Center will send a card to the honoree acknowledging your contribution. You will also receive a thank you card confirming your donation.
