Our Vision
Is to provide a center where all the needs of victims are met, children are protected from maltreatment, violence ends, families access services toward healing, and where professionals collaborate for the interest to victims and their children.
History
............................................................................................................................................................... Due to the lack of domestic violence services in the tri-county area, the Tri-County Family Justice Center was established in 2005 under the President’s Family Justice Center Initiative, which is administered by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), a component of the U.S. Department of Justice. The Center is one of 15 sites and one of three rural sites selected to create a “One-Stop” continuum of services for domestic violence victims and their children. The Center’s board of directors, staff, and community partners has worked diligently to streamline the delivery of domestic violence services by placing victims in one location. The Center strives to enhance, coordinate, and simplify availability of and access to domestic violence services within the tri-county area.
